Haley Heston joined the firm in 2022 with a passion for family law matters and helping people navigate legal issues in their time of need. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Haley has spent some time in Richmond, Virginia; Charleston, South Carolina; and presently resides in Fairfax County.
Haley earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she majored in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy of Law. While in Richmond, Virginia, Haley enjoyed volunteering with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Haley then graduated from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School in 2021. While in law school, Haley worked as an extern at the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office where she wrote numerous appellate briefs in opposition to petition for appeal to the Virginia Court of Appeals. Haley’s experience with the criminal justice system helped inform her perspective in family law matters, and further solidified her desire to go into family law.
After being admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2021, Haley worked for a small general practice where her main concentration was family law, wills, and estate administration. Regularly managing challenging family law matters that have a lasting and significant impact, Haley guides clients in taking the best possible route for themselves and their families. Haley enjoys assisting clients through litigation, negotiation, and mediation. Her goal is to provide a vigorous, thorough, and honest representation.
Haley recognizes that her clients seek both a strong advocate and a frank and honest advisor. Haley incorporates this into her approach to find ways to resolve disputes before they escalate to litigation. Her practice is primarily focused on family law, including issues related to pre-marital agreements, marital agreements, child custody, spousal support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, post-divorce modification issues, and wills.
In her free time, Haley enjoys exploring the arts community, hiking and zip-lining nature trials in Newfoundland, Canada, dominating on Nintendo switch, and spending time with family and friends.
